Black Pistol Fire @ Palm Door on Sep 20, 2011
Two-man bands have a way of changing things up at the drop of a hat, running a tangent on a riff and turning it into an entirely different song. So it was no surprise when, performing at The Austin Chronicle’s Paper Cuts series, Black Pistol Fire flipped the Rubber Factory fury of "Cold Sun" into a bluesy "I Shot The Sheriff," or when Buddy Holly's "Well Alright" broke down into the mucked-up "Jezebel Stomp." Switches like that just come with the territory.
