A three-song set doesn’t usually provide a band with enough time to get into full swing, but the Sour Notes had no patience for protocol at Thursday night’s KUT New Music Happy Hour, going from zero to sixty straight from the top of their aptly titled “The Moment You Feel It”. Looking legitimately amped on the side stage at La Zona Rosa, guitarist/songwriter Jared Boulanger led his five-piece crew on a torrid mini-tour of this year’s angular It’s Not Gonna Be Pretty – three songs, but more than enough to convert a new batch of allegiants.
