Revving up a dirty barroom breakdown in Austin’s unofficial home of the honky-tonk, Wisebird epitomizes soul survivor. Tuesday night they took to the Continental Club with the strut of their southern rock ancestors, oozing the blues through Trevor Nealon’s full-bodied keys and the overdriven slide of guitarist Will Webster. A whole truckload of slop rock, just like your daddy used to do. We hope you brought your tambourine.
